People keep asking how Dave and I met... so here's the short version.
I met Dave back in 2021 while working at the Yaldhurst Hotel. We started as friends, graduated to Thursday night meat raffles, then somehow upgraded to dating.
A year-ish ago, we moved into together with our two Jack Russells, Ralph and Lauren, and life has been an adventure ever since. We went to Auckland "just to look" at engagement rings... famous last words! We designed one, picked it up in Christchurch, and when I said, "You haven't even proposed yet,"
Dave slipped the ring on my finger in the Wilson's car park. Romantic? Maybe not. Very us? Absolutely. Then we did what any sensible couple would do, we turned my 30th birthday into an engagement party!
